DCAMM Certification: Electronic Security & Alarm Systems

DCAMM Certified Contractor

Contractors wishing to submit prime bids on public building projects estimated to cost more than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for the construction, reconstruction, installation, demolition, maintenance, or repair of any publicly owned building must first be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM). The certification process is conducted by DCAMM Contractor Certification Office and is required for all projects put bid under Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, §44A and Chapter 149A. A contract is subject to M.G.L. c. 149 §44A and c. 149A if:

• It is put out to bid by a public agency (including state agencies, authorities, counties, cities and towns); and
• It is for the construction, reconstruction, demolition, maintenance, or repair of a building; and
• It is estimated to cost over $100,000.

The Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) is an agency within the Executive Office for Administration and Finance (A&F). DCAMM is responsible for integrated facilities management, major public building construction, and real estate services for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

FTG Security has been assigned contractor identification number 1692 by the DCAMM Contractor Certification Office.

FTG Security is DCAMM certified for the design, installation, and servicing of integrated security electronics and communication and access control systems within a building, including but not limited to, touch-screen locking control systems, programmable logic controllers, electronic relay systems, intercom systems, and closed circuit television systems. This category of work shall include the design, fabrication, project management, installation, and warranty of all systems within this division of work. Certification in this category requires possession of an S-License issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety.

FTG Security is DCAMM certified for the installation, renovation, repair and maintenance of low voltage fire protection, security, card access entry systems, closed circuit television systems, motion detectors, and other types of alarms systems within a building. Certification in this category requires possession of an S-License issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety.

FTG Security is DCAMM certified for the installation, repair and maintenance of telephone, intercom, television, computer network or related equipment for a major communication system within a building.
